1. Styles

Choices of styles available

  • Standard Lined Roman (RB1) Roman Blinds in Melbourne € Style 1

    Standard Lined Roman (RB1)

    Standard Lined Roman (RB1)
A structured contemporary and popular blind style. The blind appears flat when down with no horizontal seams. Sits in a neat folded stack when blind is raised.  Lining is built into the structure of the blind and battens are sewn into pockets in the lining. Our standard blind includes 3 pass blockout lining. Other lining options available. Ideal for plain fabrics and patterned fabrics you want to showcase. For wider width blinds, fabric will be expertly pattern matched and vertical joins sewn. Blinds can be further customised with optional additions such as: bands in contrasting fabric, piping, trims, a double fold, shaped or gathered bases.
  • Front Batten Lined Roman (RB2) Roman Blinds in Melbourne € Style 2

    Front Batten Lined Roman (RB2)

    Front Batten Lined Roman (RB2)
A classic lined blind style with thin battens stitched into horizontal fabric pockets seen on the front side of the blind. The fabric pockets sit at the intermediate (base edge of each stack) when the blind is stacked. Battens are also sewn into pockets in the lining. Suitable for solid plain or patterned fabrics where horizontal joins wont interrupt the pattern. Works well with vertical stripe fabrics. Avoid horizontal stripes.
  • Lined Loop Roman (RB3) Roman Blinds in Melbourne € Style 3

    Lined Loop Roman (RB3)

    Lined Loop Roman (RB3)
When the blind is down, soft folds or "loops" cascade down the front of the blind providing a more traditional and formal look. Also known as a hobbled or teardrop blind. Blind stacks neatly when raised.
  • Horizontal Seam Roman, Lined or Unlined (RB4) Roman Blinds in Melbourne € Style 4

Horizontal Seam Roman, Lined or Unlined (RB4)

Horizontal Seam Roman, Lined or Unlined (RB4)
A modern blind style with horizontal seams sewn at all folds and visible at the intermediate (base edge of each stack) when the blind is raised. This style provides you with a soft structured roman if using sheer or lightweight fabrics without lining. Alternatively use this style with solid fabrics and lining to create a firmer structured roman with horizontal seams. For an unlined RB4, battens are sewn into back pockets of the main fabric at the base and top of each stack. For a lined RB4, battens are sewn into the lining at the base and top of each stack. Suitable for sheer, lightweight and solid fabrics. Select a preferably plain fabric, where horizontal seams will not interrupt the fabric pattern. Wide width fabrics and fabrics that can be railroaded, can be used to avoid vertical seams from fabric joins on wide width blinds.
  • Horizontal Seam Lined Roman - with soft folds (RB5)

Horizontal Seam Lined Roman - with soft folds (RB5)

Horizontal Seam Lined Roman - with soft folds (RB5)
A similar style to our Horizontal Seam Roman (RB4) but the intermediate (base edge of each stack) is a soft fold without a seam. When the blind is fully stacked horizontal seams can not be seen. This blind style must be lined and is the most suitable structured roman blind style, when using sheer or lightweight fabrics. This style can also be used with solid fabrics. Like our RB4 style, select a preferably plain fabric, where horizontal seams will not interrupt the fabric pattern. Wide width fabrics and fabrics that can be railroaded, can be used to avoid vertical seams from fabric joins on wide width blinds.
  • Soft Roman (RB6 unlined, RB7 lined)

Soft Roman (RB6 unlined, RB7 lined)

An unstructured roman blind style that gathers from the base when raised. No battens are added. Our RB6 style roman blind is recommended for sheer or lightweight fabrics and is made without lining. Our RB7 style roman is recommended for solid fabrics and is made with lining. A range of lining types are available. Fabric suitability should be discussed before proceeding. Vertical stitching in colour matched thread can be seen down the middle front and sides of blind.
